The camera was too close to see where the radiator hood bumpers go. Most of us don't have restoration level tractors and things like hood bumpers were gone a long time ago. Can you please show where they go? I take it there are just two? Thank you.

It was interesting. But I have the 12 volt system on my 1950 8n. What is the pros and cons on the 6volt setup with a generator? And the pros and cons of the 12 volt system with the altinator?

I just did a head gasket on my 1949 8n. Coolant won't flow, so I took the hood off and removed the radiator. Something was in there because it was plugged. Got it back on yesterday. Hoping to finish getting the tractor back together today, and I hope it works and I have no more surprises. It's not easy getting the hood on and off by myself. I don't have a lift or hoist. Just me lifting.

Do you know if the PTO shaft runs the hydraulic pump (3 point) in the tractor? I never use the PTO and was wondering if I could remove the PTO shaft (because it leaks), bolt a plate over the hole and still have hydraulic power. Thanks :)

The rubbers supplied are not correct. The description says 2 upper and 2 lower rubber pads, but you just get four of the same pad. two of the pads should have a small step in them to locate the pad correctly in the frame. With yours, it's just guess work.

I have an old Ferguson F40 that I cleaned and Red Sealed about 10yrs ago. It's rusting out again and weeping gas. Could a generic plastic gas tank ever work as an aftermarket tank on these old Ford and Fergy tractors...or is that creating an explosion risk due to lack of grounding. Seems like the metal tanks get grounded to the chassis when screwed on.

don't need to burp the coolant after you replace it? let it run with cap off radiator until it burps/bubbles the air out. Is this a necessary step?
